Elin Aspfors is a recent graduate from Design Academy Eindhoven, where she began her BA studies during the Covid pandemic. Throughout her studies, she developed a growing interest in technology — how it functions, how it is implemented, and how it shapes our ways of seeing and listening. Her work explores themes such as surveillance, computational photography, digital archaeology, and analog data storage. By examining the mechanisms behind Audio/Visual technologies, she reconfigures them into poetic experiences that invite reflection rather than consumption. Through this subversion of function, her practice offers alternative ways of perceiving technological systems and their relation to time, memory, and observation.
